Meet Nurse Erin,
Registered Nurse & Mom

Nurse Erin knew she wanted to be a nurse by age 8. She found her calling in the NICU, caring for the tiniest patients — but it was one baby in particular who changed everything. Erin dove deep into learning how to support that child — and quickly realized how often NICU moms felt like outsiders. She wanted to change that.

After struggling to breastfeed her own firstborn — even as a nurse — Erin knew there had to be a better way to support new parents. That moment sparked her journey to becoming a board-certified lactation consultant.

With experience in hospitals, the NICU, public health, and trauma-informed care, Erin has worked with the Department of Health and Education, consulted on films, and helped families from all walks of life. Now, she’s committed full-time to helping mothers and babies thrive — with the educated, judgment-free care she wishes every parent had.

FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

Do I need a referral to book with Nurse Erin?

Nope! You can schedule directly — no doctor’s note required. Whether you’re preparing for baby or already navigating newborn care, you’re welcome here.

What’s the difference between a lactation consultant and a nurse?

Great question. Nurse Erin is both. As a board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and a holistic RN with 25+ years of experience, she blends deep clinical training with whole-body, compassionate care.

When’s the best time to book — before or after baby arrives?

Both! Many families book a prenatal session to feel confident before birth, then schedule follow-ups as needed postpartum.

I’m not sure if it’s “just” a feeding issue — can you still help?

Absolutely. Nurse Erin’s holistic approach supports everything from latch and supply to healing, sleep, and stress. If your concern falls outside her scope, she’ll guide you to trusted referrals

I’m a producer — what consulting services do you offer for film or TV?

Nurse Erin provides on-set or behind-the-scenes consulting to ensure medical and maternal care scenes are accurate and sensitive. She’s worked with Netflix, Amazon, and public health departments, and can advise on NICU, postpartum, lactation, and trauma-informed care portrayals.

What areas do you serve in person?

Nurse Erin sees clients in-office (This or That City, NY) and offers home visits across NYC and Long Island. Telehealth is available nationwide.

Do you accept insurance?

Nurse Erin is currently working toward accepting insurance. In the meantime, you’ll receive an itemized receipt after your visit, which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many plans do cover lactation services — and suggest you check in with your provider.
